Description
The Music Week in Mauterndorf offers young people and adults the opportunity to develop their musical skills under the guidance of qualified speakers. The diversity of folk culture is shaped in the community by playing music together, singing and dancing. Games and sports activities are pillars for togetherness.
For a week old and young sing and play in Mauterndorf every year. Living legends and young musicians - year after year they come to the Salzburg Lungau to play together, to dance and to sing. More than a hundred participants gather in the guesthouses of the small town of Lungau to be taught by outstanding musicians from all over the Alps. From early till late music is played, danced and laughed. It does not matter if the relocation of the famous Lungauer Samson figures, the dance evening with the "Citoller Tanzgeiger" or the singing together in the tavern
