House Description:

The Pöllitzgut is located at the end of the valley in Muhr, above the entrance to the Hohe Tauern National Park. The farm stands in a secluded location above the valley floor and enjoys sunshine even when it’s still shady and cold in the valley. The old Troadkasten, as well as the farm buildings including the former barn, have been lovingly renovated over many years with a strong attention to detail and quality, transforming them into three cozy holiday apartments.

This is the ideal place to take a break from the hectic daily routine and enjoy time in nature in complete tranquility. In summer and autumn, hiking and biking trails in the Hohe Tauern National Park offer numerous opportunities to explore the mountains and the unique nature with many rare plant and animal species.

In winter, the farm provides a refuge a bit away from the bustling winter activities, yet still within reachable distance to the surrounding ski areas of Speiereck and Katschberg (accessible in 20-25 minutes by car). Rentals in winter are only available on a short-term basis and depend on current weather conditions and avalanche safety.

Directions:

Directions: Take the A10, exit at St. Michael i. Lg., then turn left towards Zederhaus/Muhr and shortly after turn left towards Muhr. Drive through the village of Muhr, past the Hintermuhr power plant, past Jedl, past the first reservoir until the road forks at the Arsenhaus and National Park hut: turn left towards Rotgülden and right towards Muritzen/Sticklerhütte. Please turn right here and pass the gate if it's in operation; the farm is then located a few hundred meters down on the right below the road.
