Standing on the ancient romaine street, the road which runs through Mauterndorf, this stepped-gable house which dates back to the 12th century - a former brewery, home of mine-owners and parsonage - was purchased by my grandfather, Josef Steinlechner, an automobile entrepreneur, some 30 years ago, thus preventing it from falling into utter disrepair.
With great commitment my ancestors completely rehabilitated the house from its gables to the vaulted basement, adding spacious apartments and a restaurant on the ground floor. The results were exceptional: new elements blended harmoniously with the invaluable older building and its thick walls, vaulted ceilings and wooden floors.
For years now, I have utilised modern art and design in an attempt to create a living interaction between tradition and modernity, and thus a comfortable, yet stimulating atmosphere which appeals to our guests, sets them wonderfully at ease and allows them to forget the grey daily routine they left behind.
Would you like to celebrate a special occasion with a small circle of friends or family? Or are you looking for the appropriate ambience for a reception, business meeting or seminar?
The salon on the first floor of ALTER PFARRHOF 1619 offers room for up to 10 people.
When combined with the spacious vestibule, buffet receptions for 20 to 30 people are also possible.
I look forward to your visit,
yours sincerely
Philipp Steinlechner
